Imran Uddin

Senior Product and UX Designer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with 5+ years of experience building innovative digital products for web and mobile, focusing on human-centered design from concept to prototype.

I grew up in Bangladesh and have always been fascinated by technology and how it can change people’s lives. My curiosity about devices and mechanics led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering at American International University - Bangladesh. I developed my technical skills there and discovered my passion for design.

In my professional career, I have worked on a variety of projects and teams, including building a new 0–1 product. At the start of my career, I worked as an independent UX designer for online marketplaces and startups. I currently hold the position of Senior UX Designer at AKIJ Group, iBOS Limited, where I lead the UX design for various products, such as PeopleDesk (HRMS), Managerium (SME), HireDesk (Requirement System), and a SaaS-based ERP solution in Bangladesh. Introduced a user-centric UX approach in an Agile environment that involved usability testing, user research, A/B testing, and qualitative analysis to drive design decisions. Created design guidelines, a unified design system, navigation flow, wireframes, information architecture, and prototypes.

During the design thinking process, I build connections between business objectives, technical constraints, and user needs to achieve better and more successful outcomes. My goal has always been "Better Together," a group of people working together toward a common outcome, ensuring that the product is designed with a clear purpose and meets the needs of the target audience.

Design Process

Design thinking is the mindset that aims to improve the situation of people through the experiences they have.

1.
Observe: Focus on the user's outcome. Get to know users, understand the problems as deeply as possible, and understand business, context, and competitors. Define a goal and an objective.
2.
Make: Think and sketch as many ideas as possible, from the worst case scenario to the ideal solution. Build the IA, wireframe, and prototype. Iterate on the design based on feedback.
3.
Launch: Conducting beta testing to gather early user feedback. Always be prepared to make changes to the product based on the feedback. Observe product durability, and adoptability.
4.
Improvement: Continuously collect feedback from users, identify the scope, and prioritize new features to enhance the user experience. The design process is never finished.
